Preperation of the road to the estate, using concrete blocks for an edge to roll to for the maccadam works to achieve 100% compaction to the material Base coat and binder and sealed with sealing grit to stop any contamination to the tarmac    
M1 windening Scheme J 31 to J32
 
The tank was lifted into place and secured down and filled with water prior to the tank being surrounded with 26m cubed of concrete. Instalation of the sheets and frames using a slit trench method.
prior to the tank being lifted into place the base was cast first with holding down points cast into the slab. The depth of excavation 6.5m.
The tank being surrounded with ST4 concrete, the bottom frame has been lifted to enable the frame to be removed prior to backfill.  
     
The M1 widening scheme was a real program challenge, working along side with many other contractors, and safety was the number one priority, as working on a live motorway can be dangerous to everyone involved. We finished on program and our client was highly impressed with our commitment and services offered.
